The WiderMoS final results presented at TEN-T Days 2016

From the 20th to the 22nd of June, the 2016 edition of TEN-T Days took place in Rotterdam. The event organized by the Directorate-General for Mobility and Transport of the European Commission, in cooperation with the Dutch Presidency of the Council of the European Union, saw the participation of more than 2.500 visitors coming from the industry, the public sector and the research fields.

Ms. Violeta Bulc, Member of the European Commission, was crucial for the success of the event, combined with many presentations of high level speakers coming from the European Investment Bank, the European Parliament and the Directorate General for Mobility and Transport (DG MOVE).

The Motorways of the Sea (MoS) Projects took place inside the TEN-T Days with their stands, their new ideas and their desire to improve the MoS’ world. The their attendance was very relevant, both concluded projects and started projects were able to show their goals, their tools and final or preliminary results.

Inside this suggestive framework, the EU Co-financed project of WiderMoS (under TEN-T call 2012) managed by the Project Coordinator Eng. Federica Montaresi from the Port Authority of La Spezia, took place with his booth.

WiderMoS, concluded at the end of 2015, represents one of the most relevant MoS projects into the logistics sector at European level. The project aims to connect the Motorways of the Sea and Ten-T core network corridors. Despite his conclusion, his results have still the power to attract the attention of the visitors. The presence of WiderMoS at TEN-T Days was the occasion to present the final results and lay the seeds for future projects.

At the booth was possible to examine in depth the structure of the project and discover the achieved results. Many people asked for information about the projects and looked up the MoS Study, the Pocket book and the new brochure on the final results.
