The first WiderMoS dissemination meeting in the Europe was held in Poland at Port of Gdynia Authority in January 2014. We collected a great interest from Polish operators with the focus on the IT tools for the integration between maritime and inland. For this reason WiderMoS team has decided to conclude the dissemination of final outcomes in the same place.
The meeting was opened by Janusz Jarosinski, President of Port of Gdynia Authority who highlighted the relevance of European projects like WiderMoS in supporting the maritime and logistics sector. During the event Federica Montaresi (WiderMoS Coordinator) illustrated the outcomes of WiderMoS with a focus on the advantages of interoperability, while A. Picco from Circle discussed on the evolution of the Motorways of the Sea concept, and in depth on the Corridor Management Platform _ effective maritime transport integration into the door - to - door logistic chain.
This event offered an opportunity to increase the awareness of WiderMos project and the opportunities for business community specifically for maritime, logistic and transport operators to improve the operations and the services they offer to their customers. The event was also useful for polish operators to go in-deeph in the functionalities of the corridor management platform in order to transfer the same tool in polish maritime and logistics sector.
The event was also the opportunity to discuss about the new funding framework in the next CEF call specifically in the Motorways of the Sea sector.
