WiderMoS First Spanish Regional Meeting, Zaragoza
Nearly 30 delegates attended the WiderMos regional workshop in Zaragoza on the 14th of November at the ITA (Aragon Institute of Technology) premises.
Several important maritime and logistic operators attended the meeting such as the Barcelona Port Authority, the Catalonia Railway Company and some logistic actors such as GIMEX, CHEMEURO and JCV Intercontainer. The Widermos Spanish team (ASTA Logistik, Cimne, Compassis, Corporacion Marittima and ITA), together with the WiderMos technical manager (Alexio Picco from Circle) presented the overall objectives of the project coordinated by the Port Authority of La Spezia.

The overall objective of the meeting was to identify new freight services to be exploited using the Corridor Management Platform to be developed in WiderMos implementing fast logistic corridors between Spain and Europe via the inland terminal of Zaragoza, the port of Barcelona, the port of La Spezia and the inland terminals of Melzo and Padua.

Several possibilities have been discussed leading to future services managed by the platform.

Further investigations will follow in the next months.
